What is Cycle Ergometer?

Cycle Ergometer is a healthcare device, precision electronic cycle trainer that measures the body's workload efficiency. It used when the patient need physical training (physiotherapy) in Rehabilitation unit or for fitness program at gymnasium. Cycle Ergometer use to help patient slowly increase their physical workload and to improved upper body strength and power output.
The cycle ergometer has two types of function which are for leg and arm cycling. For the final year project, I focused to develop the cycle ergometer for arm cycling. It will work like a bicycle for arms for individuals with stroke, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, or lower body disability. It is also can be used by individuals who need a low-impact exercise program and who are recovering from foot or leg injury/surgery and have clearance to continue working out.
